HOW CAN E-LEARNING ENABLE ACCESS TO EDUCATION DURING COVID-19?

At Fast Company (SA) ,we’ve been deeply concerned about the impact of Covid-19 on education. In view of this,  our first Fast Company Talks virtual event, held on the 22nd May 2020,  focused on how technology can enable access to education  in South Africa. The virtual event also focused on challenges experienced by some schools in accessing e-learning material.

We were also inspired to come up with an idea of establishing a programme (Digital Bridge) that will get our readers to donate their unused devices to these learners  for learning. At this stage the programme is in  pilot phase. If successful we would like to roll it out to other schools to enable school learners with no devices  to have access to devices for learning.
